An article featuring some of London’s best beer shops that double as bars is in the MTL works, but whilst I get my act together on that front, I thought I’d share a few frames from Micro Beers in East Sheen. Not sure where that is? OK, how about Upper Richmond Road? No? Richmond Park! Everyone knows Richmond Park. Well, Micro Beers is a 10 minute walk or so from the Sheen Gate of South West London’s sprawling deer hangout.
It’s run by Sean Looney, a former manager of We Brought Beer who has created a stylish yet welcoming space for discerning drinkers to explore some exciting beers. There are four taps for drinking in or taking away, plenty more beers in the fridge, and a selection of cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks to keep everyone happy. Sean also holds regular events so keep an eye on their social media or sign up to their mailing list for the latest information and special offers. I dropped by after a ramble around Richmond Park, took some snaps and video footage, and enjoyed more than one glass of Founders Mosaic Promise IPA to round off a super Sunday.
