Considering that I’ve gone to great lengths to be in the right place for sunrises from Crater Lake to Cadillac Mountain, I really should have made it out of bed more often and down the road to Battersea Bridge. After a 5am finish at a friend’s 30th, it seemed like a good idea to push on to the river and get some photos at silly o’clock. From the bridge, we had magical views down the Thames with Albert Bridge in our sights and The Shard in the distance. I ended up walking around until 8am, along the water and through Battersea Park. As I snapped away in my sleep-deficient state, dog walkers, runners, and cyclists began to emerge, and Sunday morning got its act together. I sloped off to bed just as my local coffee shop opened its doors.
