Night Tales popup space for music, booze and street food was a huge hit in Old Street in 2014 and 2015. This year they’ve moved further East to a calmer spot in Hackney Wick, down the road from Crate Brewery, Mick’s Garage and Howling Hops. The big draw on the food front this summer is The Good Egg, returning to the street food scene for the first time since opening their stellar brick and mortar all-day brunch spot in Stoke Newington. Order everything and thank me later. Elsewhere there’s good-looking eats on offer from the likes of Rudie’s, Mac & Wild and Nanny Bills.
There are bars aplenty dotted around, though sadly nowhere that could rustle me up a Negroni! The colourful Singha Discovery Bar that has also appeared at Street Feast is worth a look, and Coco’s Rum Shack have the best view, but you’ll find Matt The List holed up in the dark, secluded Tales of ENTER.Sake bar.
There are various private spaces available to book, and you can pay ahead for general admission if you so wish. For more details on this, plus opening times, head to their website here.
