On Wednesday 26th July, London’s beer geeks descended on The Hop Locker underneath Hungerford Bridge for an exclusive tap takeover by Northern Monk from Leeds and Bissell Brothers from Portland, Maine. Facilitated by Northern Monk Brew Co., fresh kegs of Bissell Bros beer were air freighted over to the UK. They decided to stop off in London first, before continuing the tour in Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds. The Bissell beers only just cleared customs in time which made for a fun entrance! Northern Monk’s contributions included three of their Patrons Project specials – look out for the stunning cans. Bissell Bros brought the haze with the likes of Lux Rye Ale, Substance IPA and the outstanding Nothing Gold DIPA which disappeared in record time. The Hop Locker team were on great form, rocking the Bissell Bros stash and keeping the thirsty crowd happy until late. Thursday was a bit of a struggle…
