Over the last month The Magic Roundabout above Old Street station has been busy transforming itself into a winter wonderland; a fully covered, heated space packed with colourful décor, cosy drinking holes, tempting street food and the only TFL approved dance floor in the city. We went along to the “Winter Series” launch last week to check it out. N.B. Some of the images below were provided by Jukebox PR / Liam Simmons.
The street food is on point with Burger Bear, Dirty Vegan and White Men Can’t Jerk keeping everyone well fed. For drinks, the main bar will keep most happy with wine, spirits and beers from the likes of Fourpure. But you’ll find me in The Bassano Hunting Lodge (past the vodka luge and snow machine) where cocktails are king, with subtle twists on Negronis and a Penicillin standing out on the menu. It’s a great space to meet up with friends for some fine food and booze this winter, and it couldn’t be easier to get the tube home afterwards!
N.B. The Magic Roundabout will be in Winter Series mode until the end of March 2017
